Let me introduce myself, I am the President of Dot Publishing and the publisher of Oswego County Today, and CNY Alive. I started working with Dot Publishing in 2007, and in 2009 I became the Director of Operations. In 2013, I then became the managing partner of Dot Publishing, Inc.
I am dedicated to local news and the values of unbiased reporting for smaller cities and communities. In 2016, I added CNY Alive to Dot Publishing’s online publications. CNY Alive is an event calendar site purposed to promote local performers’ music and shows. I am a lover of all music, but my passion is local and original music. One of the best parts of what I do is interviewing local performers on video to stream for our readers to enjoy.
I have extensive experience in website design and hosting. The site OswegoCountyToday.com, I designed the template layout to deliver information to web browsers and mobile devices, quickly and make it easy to navigate through.
I have an associate degree in multi-Media and have been in graphic design (print and web) for over 20 years.
When I was younger, I became a manager of fast-food restaurants Burger King and McDonald’s, and in 1988 I became the manager of Kinko’s copy center in East Syracuse, while there I acquired knowledge on how to run the store by keeping track of money, inventory management, proper job bidding, and staff teamwork.
In the mid 90’s I became the general manager of a 13-screen movie cinema complex in Cicero, New York with 60 staff members working with me. The best accomplishment was as a team when the staff and I increased attendance by 30% in 3 months and concession sales were even higher, after Regal sold the cinema, I left and started at the Funscape Entertainment facility, which was also owned by Regal Entertainment. There I was responsible for 60+ employees’ scheduling and park services.
